Application Requirements:

Candidates are eligible to apply for Psittaciformes Aviculturist if they meet any of the following conditions:

  1. (1) Have accumulated 4 years of work experience in parrot breeding or related pet breeding and aquaculture occupations.
    (2) Have obtained a college degree or above in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, animal science, wildlife protection and other related majors (including current final-year students).
    (3) Have obtained a college degree or above in other related majors and accumulated 2 years of work experience in this occupation or related occupations.

Examination Methods:

Divided into theoretical knowledge examination and operational skill assessment.

  1. (1) The theoretical knowledge examination is mainly conducted by computer-based testing, focusing on assessing the basic requirements and relevant knowledge that practitioners should master for this occupation, with an examination duration of 120 minutes.
    (2) The operational skill assessment is carried out through on-site practical operation, case analysis and other methods, focusing on assessing the skill level that practitioners should possess for this occupation, with an examination duration of 150 minutes.

Assessment Content:

  1. (1) Theoretical Knowledge: Parrot classification and breed characteristics, physiological and reproductive principles, basic genetic breeding, knowledge of breeding environment regulation, basic disease prevention and diagnosis, laws and regulations on wildlife protection, specifications for breeding file management, etc.
    (2) Operational Skills: Design and implementation of breeding plans, selection and pairing of breeding birds, management of hatching process, artificial rearing of chicks, disinfection and regulation of breeding environment, identification and preliminary treatment of common diseases, recording and analysis of breeding data, etc.
