Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Any one of the following:
  2. (1)At least 1 year of cumulative work experience in scaffold erection, working scaffold installation, protective scaffold maintenance, support scaffold assembly/disassembly, suspended platform operation or related work.
  3. (2)College diploma or above in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Safety Engineering, Engineering Management, Building Equipment or a related field.
  4. (3)Another Level 2 construction safety or related certificate certified by the China Global Professional and Technical Certification Center.

Examination Method:

  1. Theoretical examination: Computer-based or online written examination covering scaffold fundamentals, erection standards, safety standards and work-at-height procedures. Duration: 90 minutes.
  2. Practical assessment: On-site practical operation, scaffold erection demonstration and safety inspection exercises. Assesses scaffold erection, maintenance/dismantling, safety inspection and work-at-height operations. Duration: 120 minutes.

Assessment Content:

  1. Theoretical Knowledge: Fundamentals and types of scaffolding; erection, maintenance and dismantling processes; technical standards for working, protective and support scaffolds; suspended platform operating procedures; safety inspection standards and methods; work-at-height safety regulations.
  2. Operational Skills: Use assembly/disassembly and maintenance tools to erect, maintain and dismantle working, protective and support scaffolds and suspended platforms; execute scaffold erection standards; conduct safety inspections and risk assessments; handle technical problems in scaffolding work; comply with work-at-height safety regulations.
